    THE CHESSMEN

"An exact reproduction of one of the most famous Chess sets ever produced and has been used at every major Chess event for the past 10 years!"

The House of Staunton is proud to offer the Championship Series Chess set. A full tournament-sized Chess set, it features a 3.75" King with a 1.5" diameter base. The Chess pieces are hand carved by our master artisans and crafted out of the highest grade woods. The Chess pieces are heavily weighted with luxurious billiard cloth base pads and a beautiful finish. The design of the Championship Chess set is an exact reproduction of the traditional European Pattern Chessmen that have been used at every major International Chess event for the past 10 years. The prestigious list of tournaments that have used these Chessmen includes World Championships, FIDE Olympiads, Linares, Dortmund, Wijk Aan Zee and many more! We have received countless requests to reproduce a high quality version of these legendary Chessmen. Here is your chance to truly own the Chessmen used by the Champions!

As with all of our Chess sets, the Championship Series Chessmen exemplifies a perfect combination of distinct beauty and functionality. It has been designed to withstand the rigors of practical play while maintaining an elegance which has become the hallmark of a House of Staunton chess set. The design, quality and craftsmanship of this set is UNMATCHED by any set of Chessmen in its price range. Nothing even comes close!

The Chessmen are new and each set consists of 34 Chessmen, including four Queens, a standard that was introduced by The House of Staunton over 10 years ago.

    THE CHESSBOARD

The Wooden Tournament Mahogany / Maple Chessboard with 2.25" Squares features Mahogany (dark) and Maple (light) squares with a Mahogany frame. This veneered Chessboard is 0.5" thick and has a satin finish.
