The table is Transitional in design and will blend with almost any decor. Special care has been taken to offer our customers a comfortable, stable game table with the proper proportions for both a casual game of chess or serious tournament competition. The table top is designed with space for a chess clock, score pad, reference book, captured chessmen, a snack (low cal, of course) and your favorite libation.

The unique features of this table include the padded leather arm rests, non-obstructive, off- centered storage drawers and a reversible chessboard. The table ships standard with a two-sided chessboard having both 2.5" and 2.25” squares. This configuration will accommodate Tournament sized Staunton chess sets with King heights between 3.5” and 4.4”. Also available is an optional two-sided chessboard with 2.0” and 2.375” squares, which will accommodate Staunton chess sets with King heights between 2.875” and 4.0”. With the combination of these two chessboards, the Championship table will accommodate virtually all Staunton chess sets available today.
Specifications:
The table is crafted from the finest Mahogany and stands 30.5" tall with a playing surface measuring 38" long with 32" between the players. The playing surface is designed to accept all double-sided chessboards offered by The House of Staunton. The top features 2.25" squares of Macassar Ebony and Bird's Eye Maple. There are two drawers on each side of the playing field, 12.5" long and 2" deep, for storage of the chessmen as well as facilitate chessboard rotation. The table also features cleanable, padded, Dark Brown leather arm rests for optimum comfort.

This is an extremely expensive service, costing approximately 4x as much as Fedex Home delivery. But it is provided at NO COST to US (Contiguous 48 States) Customers.

| About Frank Camaratta |
Frank Camaratta, the Maestro, has been involved in the World of Chess for over 60 years. Initially a player, having achieved the rank of International Master, Frank broadened his horizons, involving himself in chess promotion & governance, chess collecting and chess design research. He also has produced several chess-related patents, the most significant of which is Time Delay. Frank is today considered the foremost authority of Jaques and other Staunton and pre-Staunton chessmen, having written numerous articles on the subject.
Mr. Camaratta founded The House of Staunton in 1990, primarily collecting and dealing in antique chess equipment. It was during that period that inspiration struck to instill Old world craftsmanship and pride into present-day chessmen. In pursuit of that goal, Frank retired from his position as an Engineering Director on the Space Shuttle Program in 1998 to devote full time to making his vision a reality, which he did after spending years of research and study in to Staunton and pre-Staunton designs. The House of Staunton has emerged as the World’s leading producer of Pre-Staunton and Staunton chessmen, as well as numerous artistically-inspired sets, which are unmatched in design, accuracy and craftsmanship.
