Its design is an artistic reinterpretation of the vaunted Staunton pattern, making it as beautiful as it is functional. All of the chess pieces, as well as the chess board, feature an artistic design that has been hand burnt into the wood by the artisans. In keeping true with its European heritage, the King and Queen pieces feature crowns that are made of  the opposing wood type, providing a beautiful color contrast.

The complimentary chess board has been designed to provide the perfect amount of contrast for the sycamore natural and stained chess pieces, and has a rich lacquered finish. The perimeter of the chess board features the traditional rank and file labels, and it can be folded in half for easy storage. Inside the chess board are individual fitted compartments for storing each of the chess pieces when not in use, providing the highest level of protection.
