    Love that Zagreb Knight! Bishop is Nice Too

    The Zagreb Series Plastic Chess Pieces - 3.75" King

    I believe I prefer the Zagreb knight shape over all other chess knights. I also appreciate the bishop. I am pleased to see a quality set of plastic Zagreb chess pieces offered. It would be even better to see a quality plastic Dubrovnik set. I prefer no kings cross or bishops mitre (even though the mitre is really part of the end of an elephants trunk). Also the more chessmen that dont have to be rotated a certain way, the better! The cross, mitre, and rook crenels annoy me, always wanting to get them rotated correctly. I still prefer traditional asymmetrical knights. Symmetrical knights are rare (and what a waste).

    I measure all of my chess sets. The manufacturing variances from House of Staunton for plastic chess sets are generally quite consistent for shape dimensions and fairly consistent for weight. Here are my measurements for this chess set (tolerances +/- .25mm and +/- .5 grams):

    -King Base Diameter: 41.5mm

    -King Height (not including basepad): 96.5mm

    -Weight of Whole Set (including extra queens, if applicable): 847g

    -Does the Set Include Extra Queens?: Yes
