Proudly imported from Europe, The Indian wood chess set has been handcrafted and hand-finished out of the finest hornwood and sycamore wood. It features a highly artistic design that has been influenced by the classical chess sets of India, with it's slender proportions and imaginative design. However, it's design was also influenced by the European artisans who crafted it, including the King and Bishop pieces feature crowns that are made of  the opposing wood type.

The complimentary chess board has been designed to provide the perfect amount of contrast for the hornwood and sycamore chess pieces, and has a rich lacquered finish. The perimeter of the chess board features the traditional rank and file labels, and it can be folded in half for easy storage. Inside the chess board are individual fitted compartments for storing each of the chess pieces when not in use, providing the highest level of protection.

NOTE - All European Collection Chess Sets are made from renewable plantation wood, making them eco friendly.

It's a beauty and rekindling an old passion

Took my time looking at the various designs and settled on the Indian design. I'm leaving it set up on the library table. It beckons folks to a game and is so beautiful to look at! I'm getting my young adult kids into it. I'm gonna challenge them to a game every time they request a favor. I tell it's gonna become part of the family lore.
