This Prototype 13x13" Visually Impaired Chess Set is a tactile chess set designed to make play easier and more intuitive for visually impaired players. It uses a peg-hole system to keep each piece steady during play, while the dark army has small spikes on top so it can be distinguished by touch from the light army, which has no spikes.

The board is built with a raised frame edge and slightly taller dark squares, giving players clear tactile cues to track the board by feel. This is a smart, functional prototype made for real use, not a decorative novelty.
