To pamper you, The House of Staunton is proud to offer the Collector Series Luxury Chess set. This full-tournament sized Chess set features. A full tournament-sized Chess set, it features a 4.0" King with a 1.8" diameter base. The Chess pieces are hand carved by our master artisans and crafted out of the highest grade woods. 

The Collector Series Luxury Chess set has been crafted to replicate the design and proportions of the original Staunton pattern Chessmen, registered by Nathaniel Cooke in March of 1849 and first manufactured by Jaques of London in September 1849. The distinctive feature of this set is the the open-mitered Bishop and Knight design, which is modeled after the noble steeds from the Greek Parthenon (Elgin Marbles.). 

What is an imperfect item?

Imperfect consists of items that are deemed below the House of Staunton's already high quality standards.  Because these products do not meet or exceed our inspection standards, we are able to pass enormous savings to you!

The inspection report for this set details the following defects:

• The Blood Rosewood Bishop has a scrape on the base (As seen in photographs).
• The Blood Rosewood Knight has a crack on the midsection (As seen in photographs).
• The Natural Boxwood Rook has some dents on the base (As seen in photographs).
• There may be other minor imperfections not pictured. 

What is the value of this item?
