FOLDING WOODEN MAGNETIC Travel Chess Set - 14"

Just received this set, good quality, detailed Staunton-style chessmen & the pieces stay put without sliding or falling off. The board lays flat, no ridge in the middle and no clasps to get in the way when setting up, the board is kept shut by magnets. This is on the heavy side for a travel set, so maybe not one for the backpack but perfect for home use and study/analysis - leave the pieces set up, fold it in half and it's ready for your next session. Very happy with this set.

To make a long story short in a nutshell I recommend this set. Now for those that want details here it goes. First of all the set comes with 2 extra Queens which is the main reason why I order this set. The knights on the pictures are not the exact same knights I received but close enough no big deal. Oh one other thing about the knights, the little horses nostrils are off set; one of the nostrils holes is drilled perfect the other is to high up making the little horse look funny when you look at them straight on haha. This set is listed as having the strongest magnets and thats false, the magnets are normal matter of fact if I slowly turn over the board most peaces fall off but again no big deal. They ship fed ex which is terrible and I did not receive my set on time. I order the set on a Tuesday morning and received it the next week on Monday. However this chess set is perfect for traveling it fits nicely inside my regular size backpack. This set is small enough yet big enough to play confortable. This is the only 14 inch set I found that comes with extra queens thats a big plus. Overall I like my traveling chess set I recommend it.
