Step Up From Vinyl Tournament Boards

PROs: The folding board is attractive and solid, has algebraic notation, appears well made, and fits perfectly in the deluxe tournament bag. CONS: The board is weighty, alignment is good but not perfect with a slight gap between halves, and hinges are visible. OVERALL: A big step up from vinyl or silicon tournament boards and a perfect complement to wooden pieces.

    Great take along wood board

If you'd like to bring something a touch classier to chess club than a vinyl rollup board, this is a nice option. Folding in half makes transportation so much nicer. I have a couple of small issues that include the felt along the joint getting into the joint when the board is open and having to use wood glue to glue a small bit of loose veneer down or I would have definitely given it 5 stars.
