To accommodate Capablanca Chess, the Veneered Chessboard is non-standard sized with 10 squares x 8 squares. This European-crafted Chessboard is 0.5" thick, has a satin finish.

    FANTASTICAL ITEM!

    I bought this 10x8 Capablanca board many years ago for my Chess Variant investigations. It is superb quality and still looks good today. The board I received had notation labels A~J along the files and 1~8 along the ranks, all around. I don't know if this version they sell today has notation labels because they are not visible in the photo. Yet for sure a... FANTASTICAL ITEM!
