From the Camaratta Signature Collection, an exquisite reproduction of the chessmen that were featured at the 17th Chess Olympiad in Havana, Cuba in 1966. At the conclusion of the event, the pieces were presented to the participants of the legendary event, which included 5 World Champions including Fischer (USA) and Tal (Russia).
The House of Staunton is proud to offer the Havana 1966 Commemorative Series Chess pieces. A full tournament-sized Chess set, it features a 3.875" King with a 1.75" diameter base. The Chess pieces are hand carved by our master artisans and crafted out of the highest grade woods. The Chess pieces are heavily weighted with luxurious billiard cloth base pads and a beautiful antiqued boxwood finish.
