The House of Staunton is proud to offer the Royale Series Chess set. A full tournament-sized Chess set, it features a 4.0" King with a 1.6" diameter base. The Chess pieces are hand carved by our master artisans and crafted out of the highest grade woods. The Chess pieces are heavily weighted with luxurious billiard cloth base pads and a beautiful finish.
As with all of our Chess sets, the Royale Series Chessmen exemplifies a perfect combination of distinct beauty and functionality. The Chessmen are new and each set consists of 34 Chessmen, including four Queens, a standard that was introduced by The House of Staunton in 1993.
THE CHESSBOARD
Crafted in Spain, the House of Staunton Standard Traditional Striped Ebony / Bird's Eye Maple wooden Chessboard features Striped Ebony (dark) and Bird's Eye Maple (light) squares with a Striped Ebony frame. This veneered Chessboard is 0.5" thick, has a satin finish and a beautiful moulded edge.
THE CHESSBOX
The Slide Top Chess Box is the most economical way to protect your chess pieces. It comes with a removable green pillow lining that allows it to hold a set of chess pieces of various sizes, from 3.0" to 4.4".
