Walnut and Maple Standard Traditional Chess Board
- Product Review (submitted on October 30, 2017):
I purchased a Collector Series Luxury Series (3.0” King) set several years ago along with a teroir (walnut/maple squares). I found the 1.75” squares a little small. A vinyl board with 1.875” showed this size to be a better choice. I was happy to see that this Spanish maker offers a walnut/maple board with 1.875” squares.
Squares are regular and consistent in appearance. The grain is fine and runs left/right. (This may vary – be sure to ask). The angular grain of the flush border is understated and looks elegant. The thin black separator between border and squares works well.
