The House of Staunton is proud to offer the Brescia Series Luxury Chess Pieces. A full club-sized Chess set, it features a 4.4" King with a 2.0" diameter base. The Chess pieces are hand carved by our master artisans andcrafted out of the highest grade woods. The Chess pieces are heavily weighted with a beautiful finish.

It has been designed to withstand the rigors of practical play while maintaining an elegance which has become the hallmark of a House of Staunton chess set. The Chessmen are new and each set consists of 34 Chessmen, including four Queens, a standard that was introduced by The House of Staunton in 1993.
The Chess Set comes with a personalized Certificate of Authenticity and an original manufacturer's plaque indicating the production number, with an adhesive backing that would allow it to be affixed to the underside of a Chess box.
What is an imperfect set
Imperfect consists of items that are deemed below the House of Staunton's already high quality standards. Because these products do not meet or exceed our inspection standards, we are able to pass enormous savings to you!
The inspection for this set details the following:
- The Tasmanian Blackwood Knight has a scuff along the base (As seen in photographs).
- The Tasmanian Blackwood Rook has a scratch on the base (As seen in photographs).
- The Tasmanian Blackwood Pawn has a horizontal crack on the base (As seen in photographs).
- The other Tasmanian Blackwood Pawn has a scratch on its top (As seen in photographs).
- The Natural Boxwood King has tool marks on the top (As seen in photographs).
- The Natural Boxwood Queen has tool marks on the base (As seen in photographs).
- The Natural Boxwood Rook has tool marks around its top rim (As seen in photographs).
- The Natural Boxwood Pawns, from left to right, have a hole, tool mark, and dark marks all on their bases (As seen in photographs).
- Some of the pieces could have very minor chips and/or dings/dents or minor imperfections (cosmetic blemishes) in the wood.
