We are proud to offer one of the world's finest Plastic Chessmen - The Fischer Quadruple-Weighted Plastic Chessmen by The House of Staunton. These Chessmen are made from the highest quality plastic and will provide years of enjoyment.

This very heavily set has been crafted to replicate the exquisite design and proportions of the original Staunton pattern Chessmen, registered by Nathaniel Cooke in March of 1849 and first manufactured by Jaques of London in September 1849. The distinctive feature of this set is our Knight design, which is modeled after the noble steeds from the Greek Parthenon (Elgin Marbles) and are unsurpassed in beauty and craftsmanship.

THESE CHESSMEN ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR ALL US CHESS FEDERATION TOURNAMENT PLAY.

    I bought this set for my travel set and it is absolutely perfect. The weighting on the pieces is enough to prevent them from falling over but still easily glides across our vinyl board.

    Great size, nice heft! Sturdy, stable, and well-weighted--I like playing with this set! I wish the queens and pawns were a bit taller, and the ramparts on the rooks were taller too--but that's a personal preference. Really an excellent set for competition!

    Fur under $20 you get a very heavy, very stable, very well proportioned Staunton-style plastic set. The only minor complaint is that the queen should be closer in size to the king. Other than that, it's perfect!
