These chessmen were designed specifically with serious chess play in mind! While these are Staunton Pattern Chessmen, the look and feel of the chessmen was designed to minimize the possibility of the pieces being damaged during both play and transport. The pieces are heavily weighted, provided added piece stability during the heat of battle - no more pieces accidentally being bumped over!
Please note that these chessmen are being sold as half-sets, which means you will only receive a single army consisting of 17 pieces (16 plus additional Queen). You will need to purchase two half-sets to be able to play a game of chess.

Fantastic, but much darker than expected
Hello! These are a fantastic set, nicely sized and weighted. The only thing I would change is the darkness of some of the dyed pieces- they are not as vibrant as in the pictures. Still, though, I have played with them for several months, and there is no rattle or piece chipping. 9/10.
