The House of Staunton is proud to offer the Players Series Chess set. A full tournament-sized Chess set, it features a 3.75" King with a 1.75"diameter base. The Chess pieces are hand carved by our master artisans and crafted out of the highest grade woods. The Chess pieces are heavily weighted with luxurious billiard cloth base pads and a rich finish. The design of the Players Series Chess set has been inspired by the Jaques of London design from the late 1890s, a period widely regarded by Chess collectors as having the finest Staunton Chess Sets ever produced. The Players Series Chess set is ideal for those that are interested in a quality Chess set at a very affordable price.

THE CHESSBOARD
The Standard Traditional Blackwood and Bird's Eye Maple wooden Gloss Chessboard with 2.25" Squares features Blackwood (dark) and Bird's Eye Maple (light) squares with a Blackwood frame. This Chessboard is 0.5" thick and has a high gloss finish.
THE CHESSBOX
The Mahogany Standard Chess Box is lined in green velour, divided and features brass quadrant hinges and a brass locking clasp.
