    Catalog Code: B0035GB

Black controls the vital e4-square with his pieces, and retains total flexibility with his central pawns. By playing 4. f3, White challenges Black's idea head-on. Either Black grants White control of e4, or else he must commit his pawn to d5, whereupon White can begin concrete action in the center.

    Dazzle Your Opponents!
    Catalog Code: E-B0190EM

In Dangerous Weapons: The French, International Master John Watson takes a revolutionary look at one of the most famous and widely-played chess openings: the French Defence. Instead of travelling down well-trodden and analyzed paths, Watson concentrates on fresh or little-explored variations of the French, selecting a wealth of "dangerous" options for both colours. Whether playing White or Black, a study of this book will leave you confident and fully-armed, and your opponents running for cover!

    365 Selected Endgames
One for Each Day of the Year
    Catalog Code: B0062IS

This book is written in both German and English. Some knowledge of both Classic notation and Algebraic (mainly the latter) is needed to follow all the notes. The book is mainly a series of fairly difficult endgame studies. I went through the book and solved each problem in the manner that the authors suggested in their preface. It helped me win many Chess tournament games that would have otherwise been draws and also draw many games that should have been lost.
