our newest masterpiece - The Lasker 1890 Series Chess Set. Part of
our Timeless Collection, the Lasker 1890 Series Chess set is exact
reproduction of the Jaques of London Chessmen Circa 1890 Lasker Staunton
Pattern Chessmen. These Chessmen feature a 4.4" King with a 2.0"
Diameter base and are very heavily weighted. These Chessmen are
an exact match to the original detail, down to the smallest details!
The most striking aspect of the Lasker
1890 Series Chess Set is the beautiful patina on the Boxwood (White)
Chessmen. Our artisans have accurately captured the rich, golden
color commonly found on well preserved antique Chess sets. Simply put,
these Chessmen look like they could very well be over 110 years
old!
Like the first two Chess Sets from the Timeless
Collection, The Lasker 1890 Series Chessmen is a very LIMITED
PRODUCTION - ONLY 25 OF THESE SETS WILL BE PRODUCED! The first two
productions, the Congress Chessmen and the Anderssen
Chessmen had both sold out before we were able to publicly
announced them!

It also comes with gold embossed leather
pads on both Kings, a personalized Certificate of Authenticity and an
original manufacturer's label indicating the production number is affixed

chessmen are housed in a premium Red Burlwood box with brass quadrant
hinges and a full mortise lock and key. The interior of the box is divided
and lined in billiard cloth. The box may be upgraded to our brand new
Carton Pierre Reproduction Casket (shown below) for an additional
$129.95.
