Purchase
an Original Production Plaque for
Previously Purchased Chess Sets
Since the
Staunton Pattern Chessmen were
first introduced in 1849, Chess
Sets from such prestigious firms
as Jaques of London
and British Chess
Company have come with
Production Labels made from paper.
While Chess historians have
often
debated the reasons why paper was
the material of choice for
something of such importance,
history itself has made one thing
clear -
Paper Production Labels Do No
Last!

The Production
Labels above are from several
Jaques of London Staunton Pattern
Chess sets (Circa 1849-1860).
Please note the
extensive damage and how most of
the printing has worn off to the
point where the production details
are completely lost.
What good is a Production Label
when you can't even read what was
printed on it?
